Early Life and Education
Darryl Ervin Rouson was born on July 20, 1955, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended St. Petersburg Catholic High School before going on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida. Rouson’s early education instilled in him a strong work ethic and a commitment to serving his community.
Professional Career
Rouson’s career in public service began when he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2008. He served in the House until 2016, when he was elected to the Florida State Senate. As a member of the Senate, Rouson has been a strong advocate for issues such as criminal justice reform, education funding, and environmental protection.
