Hari Krishna Dua, popularly known as H.K. Dua, was born on July 1, 1937, in Sargodha, Punjab, which was then part of undivided India and is now in present-day Pakistan. He completed his education from Government College, Lahore, and later pursued a Master’s degree in English Literature from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
