Early Life and Education
Kenneth Baker, Baron Baker of Dorking, was born on November 3, 1934, in Newport, Wales. He grew up in a politically active family, with his father W. M. Baker being involved in local politics. Not much is known about his mother, except that her maiden name was Harries. Baker attended prestigious schools such as Hampton School and St Paul’s School before going on to study at Magdalen College, Oxford.
