Early Life and Education
Born on December 18, 1970, in Salina, Kansas, Brent Venables was destined for a career in football. He attended Salina High School South, where he excelled as a linebacker on the football team. After high school, Venables continued his football journey at Garden City Community College before transferring to Kansas State University.
Rise to Coaching Stardom
After graduating from Kansas State University, Venables began his coaching career at the University of Kansas as a graduate assistant. He quickly made a name for himself as a defensive guru and was hired by Oklahoma as their linebackers coach in 1999.
