Early Life and Education
Born on January 30, 1973, in Memphis, Tennessee, Shea Flinn showed an early interest in politics and public service. He attended Rhodes College, a prestigious liberal arts institution located in Memphis, where he studied political science and economics. During his time at Rhodes, Flinn became involved in student government and community activism, laying the foundation for his future career in politics.
Political Career
After graduating from Rhodes College, Flinn began his political career by working as a legislative aide for a member of the Tennessee General Assembly. In 2007, Flinn decided to run for public office himself, and was elected to the Memphis City Council.
