Early Life and Education
Eva Maydell was born on January 26, 1986, in Sofia, Bulgaria. She grew up in a politically active family, which instilled in her a passion for public service from a young age. Maydell attended John Cabot University in Rome, Italy, where she studied Political Science and International Relations.
Entry into Politics
After completing her studies, Maydell returned to Bulgaria and began her political career. In 2010, she joined the GERB party, a center-right political party in Bulgaria. She quickly rose through the ranks and became a Member of the European Parliament in 2014.

As an MEP, Maydell has focused on a wide range of issues, including digitalization, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment. She is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and the Delegation to the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee.
